A licensed provider reviews your medical history and questionnaire and chooses the formulation and strength. Treatments of this kind are generally reviewed over a period of months rather than weeks. No membership fee.

How treatment starts

You complete an online questionnaire covering your medical history, the medications you already take and how long you have noticed the change. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether treatment is appropriate for you, and which formulation and strength to prescribe. Nothing is dispensed unless they approve it.

If they approve you, your prescription goes to a state-licensed compounding pharmacy in the United States, which prepares it against your individual prescription. It is applied to the scalp rather than taken as a tablet. Your provider tells you how to use it, and the instructions that come with your prescription are the ones to follow.

If the provider decides treatment is not appropriate for you, you are refunded minus a $30 telehealth visit fee, which covers their time reviewing your file.

What compounded means

A compounded medication is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one named patient, rather than manufactured and sold as a finished branded product. Compounding is why more than one active ingredient can be combined into a single topical prescribed for you, instead of separate off-the-shelf products.

What we do not claim

We do not publish regrowth figures, before and after photographs, or success rates, because we do not hold outcome data on our own patients. Hair loss has several different causes, and a treatment aimed at one of them will not address another.

Only a licensed provider can tell you whether treatment is appropriate for you, and they may tell you it is not. If you have noticed sudden or patchy loss, or loss alongside other symptoms, that is worth raising with them in your questionnaire.

What you pay

You are billed once for the supply you choose rather than enrolled in a recurring membership, and there is no separate subscription charge. Delivery terms are set out in our shipping policy.
