Tirzepatide is a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist. It is compounded together with vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, which is why your vial is labeled tirzepatide/pyridoxine. It may be used to support weight management and metabolic health, and is often discussed in relation to appetite regulation and blood sugar control. A 30-day supply covers four weekly doses. Tirzepatide is taken as a subcutaneous injection once a week. Your provider sets your dose and tells you how to take it, and will usually start you low and adjust over time. Doses are prescribed weekly, not as a monthly total.
